120th Anniversary Celebrations 1906–2026
In 2026, St. Boniface Catholic Church celebrates 120 years of faith lived in community. Since our beginnings as a small mission church in 1906, our parish has been shaped by generations who prayed here, served here, and cared for one another. This anniversary year invites us to honour our history, serve our community, strengthen parish life, and grow in prayer and faith as we build a legacy for the future.
Through historical preservation, acts of service, parish fellowship, and shared prayer, we celebrate the mission entrusted to us; past, present, and future.
The Five Pillars of Our Anniversary Year
Honouring, Remembering, Serving, Strengthening, Growing
Honouring Our History
Preserving our heritage through archival work and the revitalization of our parish cemetery.
Remembering Our Founding Parishioners
Our historic cemetery is the resting place of the founding parishioners and early Catholic families of St. Joseph Island. We remember their lives and the faith they passed on to future generations.
Serving Our Community
Supporting our neighbours through food bank donations and acts of service.
Strengthening Parish Life
Building community through parish volunteering, spring clean‑up, and establishing our Legacy Butterfly Garden, a living symbol of hope for future generations.
Growing in Prayer & Faith
Deepening our prayer through the St. Boniface Prayer, praying the St. Boniface Novena, and gathering joyfully for our 120th Anniversary Mass.
As we celebrate 120 years of St. Boniface Catholic Church, we give thanks for the generations who built, sustained, and cherished this parish. Their faith, service, and devotion continue to guide us today.
Through honouring our history, serving our community, strengthening parish life, and growing in prayer and faith, we carry forward the mission entrusted to us in 1906.
This anniversary year is not only a remembrance of where we have been, but a commitment to where we are going. With gratitude for the past and hope for the future, we continue to grow as a parish rooted in faith, united in community, and dedicated to leaving a legacy for those who will follow.
May St. Boniface, our patron, pray for us as we journey together into the years ahead.
